Our year is drawing to a close, only a few more weeks left! We are busy working on our biography projects. The kids have two people who they have read about and created mini-projects about. Right now, they are working on comparing and contrasting what they have learned by making forwards-backwards books. They are pretty cool!
After the biography project, we will be learning about and constructing timelines.
We will have one last reading summative next week on Tuesday. That will be the last formal test of the year for Language Arts. Reading Counts points will close on Friday, May 20. I checked in with each kid today so ask your child if you aren't sure how they are doing. Several kids have reached their goal while others have points to go.
The reading log due this Friday is online and is about a favorite book from the whole 5th grade year. We are going to use those to have a battle of the books next Friday.
Thanks for everyone's support this year, it has been a great year! Today I received some very well-written and nice cards. :)
